Study Abroad

Mason offers many opportunities for students to study abroad.

The Center for Global Education offers a variety of programs of study to fit your plans and budget; among them are short courses during school breaks, semester-long or year-long study abroad programs, intensive language institutes, and escorted educational tours.

International internships in London, Marseilles, Beijing and Israel/Palestine offer workplace experience tailored to your major and career interests, along with opportunities to experience day-to-day life in another culture. All programs are designed for English-speaking students.

The Global Humanitarian Action Program and the Summer Institute on Humanitarian Action are Washington-based internships that include periods of travel abroad.

The Oxford Honors Program is an invitation-only opportunity for high-achieving undergraduate and graduate students to spend the fall semester in England studying with British faculty at Oxford University.

AVT at Skopelos offers students the chance to study with Mason art faculty at the Skopelos Foundation for the Arts on the island of Skopelos in Greece.

Certain study-abroad programs sponsored by other universities (such as the programs in Cortona and Perugia, Italy) offer courses that can receive credit at Mason. Contact the Center for Global Education, which will assist you with the necessary approvals and paperwork.
