Professional Activities: Suzanne Scott is a life-long learner, teacher, artist and writer who maintains an art studio with 18 other artists at Arts & Space in Arlington, VA. Her training is in feminist literary and cultural theory, in art as social commentary and cultural critique, and in writing as creative practice or reportage. Passionate about all forms of artistic expression, she seeks to help students make connections between art and the social, cultural and political currents of the time. She finds teaching every course an invigorating experience. When teaching, she sees old topics in new ways through the eyes of her students, and she gains new knowledge each semester from her students' experiences.
