Maryam Kasmai has a Master of Fine Arts in Visual Information Technology from George Mason University and a Bachelors degree in Graphic Design from State University of Arts in Berlin, Germany. She joined the AVT staff as a Financial Specialist in summer of 2006, and has been a GMU staff member since 1991.  In 1995 she received the George Mason University Best Performance Award.  Her digital films have been shown at the University Movie Theater and her digital prints have been displayed in numerous exhibitions through out the years.  She has also served as Assistant Stage Director in an opera production in addition to being a Multimedia Artist in a digital poetry theatre.  Mrs. Kasmai s writings and digital images have also been published for educational purposes by the English Department of GMU.
