Edgar Endress is an assistant professor of art and visual technology/digital art. A native of Chile, he studied at ARCOS in Santiago, graduating with the equivalent of a BFA. In 2001, he received his MFA from Syracuse University with a concentration in art video. Endress’s work has been shown in Chilean and international contexts. His awards include third place in the Experimental category for Elvis Hates America at the Athens Film and Video Festival in Ohio, a jury award for Anonymous at the third Video and Electronic Art Biennial in Santiago, and first prize in the Documentary Video category for Wanglen or the New Fertility at the second Video and Electronic Art Biennial. Endress’s exhibitions have been held at the Museum of Modern Art, the Contemporary Arts Museum of Cartagena, the New England Film and Video Festival, the Boston Fine Arts Museum, the New York Video Festival, the Walter Reade Theater, and the Film Society of Lincoln Center.
