The Department of Art and Visual Technology at George Mason University has submitted official “Notice of Intention to Apply” for accreditation to the National Association of Schools of Art and Design (NASAD). The department hosted an on-campus NASAD consultative visit in spring 2006. A Self-Study report is being prepared for presentation to NASAD toward accreditation review in fall 2009, concurrent with the opening of the new studio art building for Art and Visual Technology.
